Our Mission

Love God. Love people. Make disciples.

We believe everyone deserves to experience the love of God and the community of His people. Whether you're taking your first steps in faith or you've been walking with Jesus for decades, you have a place here.

Our mission is simple: love God with everything we have, love our neighbors the way we want to be loved, and walk with people as they grow in faith. No fancy language. No hoops to jump through. Just an open door.

The people who lead us.

A short bio goes here: two or three sentences about their heart for Detroit and for this church.

Until then: come meet them in person on Sunday, they're easy to find.

Plan a visit or reach out. We'd love to introduce you.

Our convictions.

Twelve convictions that shape our worship, our lives, and the way we love the people around us.

01

God is real.

God is real, present, and actively at work in the lives of His people. He is holy, loving, faithful, and worthy of our trust, our worship, and our surrender.

Hebrews 11:6
02

The Bible is our foundation.

The Bible is the Word of God and the foundation for truth, wisdom, and direction. In a world full of opinions and shifting standards, God's Word remains steady and trustworthy. It shapes how we live, how we lead, and how we grow.

2 Timothy 3:16–17
03

Jesus is the center.

Jesus Christ is the center of our faith and the hope of the world. He is the Son of God, our Savior, and the only true source of salvation. Through His sinless life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, forgiveness, freedom, and new life are available to all who put their faith in Him.

Colossians 1:15–18
04

Salvation is a gift.

Salvation is by the grace of God, received through faith in Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned. It is a gift. In Christ, people can be restored, redeemed, and made new.

Ephesians 2:8–9
05

The Spirit still moves.

The Holy Spirit is still active today. He leads, convicts, comforts, strengthens, and transforms believers. We believe God's presence is not only meant to be understood, but encountered in a real and life-changing way.

John 14:26
06

Prayer is a lifeline.

Prayer is essential. God hears His people, responds with wisdom and power, and moves in ways both seen and unseen. Prayer is not a ritual to us. It is a lifeline.

Philippians 4:6–7
07

Worship is a response.

Worship is more than music or routine. It is a sincere response to the goodness, greatness, and worthiness of God. True worship involves the heart, honors God, and draws us closer to Him.

John 4:23–24
08

Everyone is welcome.

The church should be a place where people are welcomed with love and challenged with truth. No one has to have it all together to walk through the doors, but God meets people where they are and calls them forward. His grace receives us, and His truth changes us.

Romans 15:7
09

Faith lives beyond Sunday.

Faith should reach beyond Sunday. Following Jesus should shape every area of life, including our relationships, our decisions, our work, our generosity, our leadership, and our character. A real walk with God produces real fruit.

Colossians 3:17
10

People matter.

People matter deeply to God. Because of that, we want to be a church where people are seen, strengthened, encouraged, and equipped. We want children to be nurtured, families supported, believers to grow in maturity, and those far from God to encounter His love and truth.

Genesis 1:27
11

Grace and truth belong together.

The church is called to reflect both grace and truth, compassion and clarity, spiritual depth and practical impact. We believe God meets people with grace, tells them the truth, and calls them into a stronger, fuller, more faithful life. Our desire is to help people put God first, grow strong in faith, live with purpose, and become all that God has called them to be.

John 1:14
12

Lives are changed.

Above all, we believe life is changed through Jesus. Our mission is not simply to gather people in a room, but to see hearts transformed, lives rebuilt, and people walk in the hope, truth, and purpose found in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:17
